Cascade Lakes Relay

From Diamond Lake Resort to NW Crossing in Bend, OR

Gather 11 other friends, 2 vans, 3 volunteers and get ready for a scenic, challenging adventure! The Cascade Lakes Relay runs through the day and night as teams complete 36 continuous legs varying in length from 3-8 miles on some of the most diverse terrain Oregon can muster. Your vans will likely be packed with smelly socks, adult beverages, more granola bars than you care to consume and memories that won't soon fade!

Running Teams (12 runners)

Running teams consist of 12 runners, with each runner completing 3 legs over 216.6 miles from Diamond Lake Resort to NorthWest Crossing in Bend, OR. Run teams should anticipate starting between 5:45am and 1:00pm on Friday, July 31st, depending on your teams' average 10k run time.

Ultra Running Teams (6 or less runners)

Ultra teams run the full 216.6 mile running course from Diamond Lake Resort to Bend Oregon. Each member of the ultra team must run an equal number of legs (as close as mathematically possible). Start times will be determined once average 10k team times are submitted.

Walking Teams (8-12 walkers)

The walking course is 131.8 miles, beginning at Silver Lake Oregon and finishing at NorthWest Crossing. The course consists of 24 legs, so each participant on a 12 person team walks two legs; on an 8 person team, each walks three legs. Walk teams should anticipate starting the race between 9:00am and 12:00pm on Friday morning July 31st, depending on your teams' average 10k walk time.

“Running” in any form is not allowed on any leg of the walking event; the rules will be strictly enforced.

High School Challenge Teams (8-12 runners)

High School Challenge teams run the 131.8 mile course from Silver Lake to NorthWest Crossing. The course consists of 24 legs, so each runner on a 12 person team runs 2 legs; on an 8 person team, each participant runs 3 legs. High School Challenge teams should anticipate starting the race at 10pm Friday night in Silver Lake.
